If you’re a successful popstar with an equally famous ‘better half’, it makes sense that you might want to get them to star in one of your music videos. Although we still find this a bit of an odd pairing, there is no denying that Michael Jackson and Elvis’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, look undeniably happy and in love in his video for ‘You Are Not Alone’.

3. Enrique Iglesias, ‘Escape’, 2001.
Enrique Iglesias actually used his popstar status to his advantage in order to woo tennis star Anna Kournikova on the set of his music video ‘Escape’. After he’d requested her for the video they were dating within a few weeks. Nice work, Enrique.

4. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck – ‘Jenny from the Block,’ 2002.
Sadly this still makes us cringe but back in the 00s you couldn’t look anywhere without having ‘Bennifer’ shoved in your face in some capacity. This was never truer than in her music video ‘Jenny from the Block’, where they were pretending to be candidly filmed.

5. Britney Spears, ‘My Prerogative’, 2004.
Much to the dismay of some her fans, 2004 was the time that Britney chose to announce that she had married her backing dancer, Kevin Federline. She did this by featuring him in her rebellious music video ‘My Prerogative’ and people weren’t all too happy about it.

6. Pink, ‘So What’, 2008.
You’ve got to love Pink’s honesty and this is never more prominent than when she talks about her marriage to Carey Hart, even going as far as to feature him in her video for ‘So What’ when they were actually split up. Luckily they got it back together in the end.

7. Kanye West, ‘Bound 2’, 2013.
Another video that sits quite high on the ‘cringe scale’, Kanye West decided that for his video for track ‘Bound 2’ he would subject his fans to watching him and his wife Kim Kardashian make out for a full 4 minutes and 13 seconds. Thankfully, Seth Rogen and James Franco made a pretty hilarious parody to soften the blow for all of us.

8. John Mayer, ‘Who You Love’, 2013.
With a reputation like John Mayer’s, it’s not easy to shake off the Playboy image he’s built up over the years. Therefore, for his music video for ‘Who You Love’ he called upon his real-life girlfriend Katy Perry to share not only the screen with him, but also the singing.

Very much a lover’s anthem for the modern day, the whole world swooned when they first witnessed this adorable video for ‘All of Me’, featuring John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen who the song is inspired by. We’re not jealous at all guys, don’t worry.

10. Adam Levine, ‘Animals’, 2014.
This one is super weird and very much an overshare if you ask us, seeing Adam Levine play a stalker who fantasises about getting hot and heavy with an attractive stranger (his real-life wife, Behati Prinsloo). Nonetheless the Maroon 5 track ‘Animals’ was without a doubt one of the biggest hits of 2014.
