With Christmas and Easter now out of the way, it is well and truly time to start thinking about our summer vacations. For many of us this will mean swanning off to a secluded beach somewhere, but for a select few our idea of a dream holiday involves huge crowds of people and some of the best bands on the planet. Here are just a few of the most sought after worldwide festivals of the minute…
1. ‘Coachella’, California, USA.
Spread across two April weekends every year, Coachella has got to be the most widely talked-about festival since the beginning of social media. Based in the Indio desert just outside of Palm Springs, anyone who’s anyone in the celebrity world can be found looking Boho and beautiful at this incredibly photogenic festival.

2. Glastonbury Festival, United Kingdom.
One of the best known, not to mention best loved festivals on earth, Glastonbury is something of a ‘Mecka’ for established musicians and this means that people from all across the globe flock to the fields of Pilton Farm every year.

3. ‘Tomorrowland’, Belgium.
If dance music is your thing then you will most certainly have heard of Tommorowland festival in Belgium, which sees thousands flock to the Belgian town of Boom for a taste of euphoric escapism.

Taking place on the island between Buda and Pest in Hungary’s capital, Sziget is a surprising haven nestled in the heart of a big city. It also boasts some of the best live acts in the world along with some of the nicest weather.

Another front runner on the dance music scene, the unique selling point about EXIT festival is that it is housed in an ancient fortress atop of a hill overlooking the Danube river in Novi Sad. If that doesn’t make for an unforgettable atmosphere, I don’t know what does.

One of the most up and coming locations for festivals, Croatia is the new hip place to travel. ‘The Garden’ festival is one its most successful events and offers guests a plethora of choices to watch music, all the way through from island raves to boat parties.
